Centro Cultural Hispano Americano and the Pacific Jazz Institute at
Dimitriou¹s Jazz Alley present Spanish Harlem Orchestra touring in support
of their latest Grammy Nominated CD ³United We Swing². Band members are
Oscar Hernández (Piano/Musical Director), Ray De La Paz (Vocals), Marco
Bermudez (Vocals), Willie Torres (Vocals), Maximo Rodriguez (Bass), Luisito
Quintero (Percussion), George Delgado (Percussion), Jorge Gonzalez
(Percussion), Dan Reagan (Trombone), Pete Nater (Trumpet), and Motch Frohman
(Saxophone and Flute). Set times Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm and

Since their arrival in 2000, Spanish Harlem Orchestra (SHO) has established
itself as a standard bearer of contemporary Latin music. Directed by
world-renowned pianist, arranger, and producer Oscar Hernández, the
thirteen-member all-star ensemble has reintroduced the classic sounds of New
York City Salsa to music lovers worldwide. ³United We Swing², SHO¹s third
album, is a stunning follow-up to their 2004 Grammy award-winning album
³Across 110th St.², and their 2002 Grammy nominated debut, ³Un Gran Día En
El Barrio.²

The Children’s Response Center ( www.ChildrensResponseCenter.org ) has an outstanding opportunity for a Social Worker 2. Under the supervision of the Associate Director Health Services / Clinical Supervisor and/or Social Work Supervisor 3, this individual will perform a variety of duties exercising independent decision making based on practice experience in the unit. The program is located in central Bellevue and affiliated with Harborview Medical Center, UW Medicine.

Direct Clinical:
Provide initial intake/screening services for the program to a variety of callers including prospective clients, community members, and other professionals/providers AND/OR works collaboratively with the Intake Social worker.
Provide services including consultation, information and referral, and crisis intervention to client families, community members and other professionals both over the phone and in person.
Provide bio-psycho-social evaluation/assessments for children and youth impacted by assault/abuse/trauma as well as to crime victims or suspected victims, including their non-offending family members as appropriate.
Provide individual, family and group therapy utilizing an abuse/trauma specific clinical orientation as appropriate.
Provide evaluation and treatment for children involved in the foster care system including their caretakers to address consequences of abuse, victimization, and problem parenting including neglect and other issues.
Provide specialized forensic evaluations regarding suspected abuse of children as referred by Child Protective Services.
Provide evaluation and treatment of young children regarding sexual behavior problems.
Ensure appropriate and timely documentation of all clinical work utilizing HMC, Social Work Department and program policies and procedures as appropriate including electronic documentation.

Advocacy:
Perform a variety of tasks designed to assist clients/families involved in the various legal systems to ensure their interests and rights are represented.
Provide access to medical resources for clients as appropriate either independently or with medical consultation as needed. Work collaboratively with the HCSATS Medical Program providers to assist families in accessing specialized care.
Provide general support to assist client families in navigating various social services, educational and other systems of care related to theirreferral to the program.
Ensure appropriate documentation of advocacy interventions according to program policies and procedures.

Teaching / Training:
Plan and implement formal and informal education and training for a variety of audiences including other professionals, community groups, students, funders, conferences, and other forums.
Provide practicum instruction and supervision for graduate interns.
Requirements:
A Master of Social Work Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education AND two years of full-time professional social work experience in a health-care setting OR equivalent education/experience. Eligible to begin social work practicum instruction for the School of Social Work.
Legal Requirement – Registration as a Counselor by the State of Washington within 30 days of employment. Licensure as a Social Worker by the State of Washington or become licensed within one year of employment.
Must be Credentialed (or eligible for Credentialing) through the Harborview Medical Center Administrative Credentialing Committee for Allied Health Practitioners.
Prior clinical experience in the field of child maltreatment including sexual assault. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills. Experience in working with diverse populations. 
Able and willing to travel and provide services to outlying communities including community outreach. Ability to be flexible in scheduling clients for some evening hours.

Desired:
Prefer Spanish speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of Washington.
Condition of Employment:
Must have valid Driver’s license and car for use in travel in the community to program related meetings and trainings.
Salary: $4242 to $6251 per month
